The Western Tip of North Carolina
Cherokee County NC spans the western tip of North Carolina and includes the towns of Andrews, Brasstown, Culberson, Marble and Murphy. Murphy North Carolina, the county seat, and the rest of the Western Tip enjoy moderate weather which is highly conducive to NC Golf. Like other mountainous areas in North Carolina, temperatures vary according to elevation, but springs and summers in Murphy average in the 60’s and 70’s, while winters drop down into the 30’s. Spring mornings can be quite chilly, and it has even been known to snow in April! July is the warmest month of the year for Murphy North Carolina Weather with an average maximum temperature of 86.10°. Summers are long and very enjoyable with occasional afternoon thunderstorms.
